LABC Warranty chosen for structural insurance cover on Passivhaus-standard affordable homes

Affordable homes with the highest levels of energy efficiency will be constructed in Hammersmith & Fulham, with LABC Warranty providing inspections and latent defects insurance cover.

LABC Warranty chosen for Hartopp and Lannoy Point Passivhaus development

About Hartopp and Lannoy Point

134 new homes will be built by Higgins Partnerships on the site of two demolished towers known as Hartopp and Lannoy Point in Fulham. This will include 112 homes for social, affordable rent or shared ownership, with the highest structure at just seven storeys.

To achieve Passivhaus standards, the development will use design technologies such as ‘blue’ and ‘green’ roofs, as well as air source heat pumps and solar panels.

LABC Warranty’s London Sales Director Julian Roper said: “Despite the housebuilding sector facing pressures from multiple angles, it is great to see London boroughs like Hammersmith and Fulham actively addressing the issue of housing need in our capital.

“Our Major Projects team, which specialises in developments at least six storeys tall, are looking forward to working with Higgins Partnerships as contractors on this project.”

Hammersmith & Fulham Council wants to see 3,000 new affordable homes built or underway in the borough over the next four years and has ambitions to achieve carbon net zero targets by 2030.
