LABC Warranty will provide latent defects insurance cover and associated inspection services for Ealing Council’s new development in Acton Town, London, which is being built by McLaren Construction.

Ealing Council and McLaren choose LABC Warranty for Steyne Estate

About the Acton Town development

Part of the redevelopment of The Steyne Estate, the project will deliver three buildings: an eight-storey senior living development with 71 London Affordable Rent (LAR) homes, a 20-storey residential tower with 111 homes and a four-storey family block with six larger apartments. The scheme will consist of 90 shared ownership homes and 27 market sale homes.

Passivhaus design principles will apply to 71 LAR homes with energy use expected to be reduced by 70%.

LABC Warranty’s London Sales Director Julian Roper said: “This is a forward-thinking development for Ealing Council that draws together multi-generational living and sustainability while delivering much-needed housing for this area of London.

“LABC Warranty is looking forward to supporting both Ealing Council and McLaren Construction in bringing this high-quality development to life.”

The new development plans will incorporate improvements to two existing residential towers on the site and create further shared community spaces.
