Course contents
This course will take learners through a practical tour of LABC Warranty’s guidance around installing timber frames on homes, with a focus on the correct build process.
Your LABC Warranty trainer will outline the common types of timber frame construction, highlighting the main problematic areas during construction that lead to defects or claims.
Learners will then explore the typical common defects found on timber-frame construction sites, which are usually the result of a poor understanding of how timber interacts with other construction materials and techniques.
Attendees will also be guided through the typical standards that must be met when building timer-framed homes, and how to align with the standards laid out in the LABC Warranty Technical Manual, and how these standards minimise the chance of defects or claim-generating problems.
Throughout the session, your trainer will also offer guidance on how to prepare for a pre-handover inspection, and how to ensure inspections are completed successfully and efficiently.
